The AIUM Announces New Class of Fellows

Jan 26, 2026

LAUREL, MD (January 26, 2026) – The Board of Governors of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), along with the AIUM Executive Committee, is proud to announce the newest class of AIUM Fellows.

“Each year, the AIUM is honored to recognize individuals whose leadership, service, and commitment have meaningfully advanced both our organization and the field of medical ultrasound,” said David C. Jones, President of the AIUM. “This year’s class of AIUM Fellows represents an exceptional breadth of expertise and impact, with their diverse contributions as clinicians, researchers, educators, and leaders.”

The individuals achieving this designation have demonstrated their commitment to both the AIUM and medical ultrasound. Individuals must be nominated, meet eligibility criteria, complete a detailed application, and secure letters of support. These materials are then reviewed by a panel of current AIUM Fellows, followed by the AIUM Executive Committee. Successful applications are then forwarded to the AIUM Board of Governors for final approval.

This new class of AIUM Fellows represents researchers, physicians, sonographers, and educators from across the globe and a wide range of ultrasound specialties. They join an elite group within the AIUM, fewer than 4% of active members, who have earned the distinction of adding FAIUM to their credentials.
