There are many benefits to an AIUM membership. For example, continuing education is a critical function of the AIUM, and members have several free or reduced-cost ways to earn valuable CME credits. Key benefits include:

  • Free CME self-study tests from the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM). Take just 6 of the more than 100 available tests, and you have paid for your membership.

  • Members receive significant discounts for all AIUM events.

    To maximize your AIUM membership experience, follow these 4 steps:

    To get the most out of your membership, get started on the right foot. Here are a few important steps to take as you begin your AIUM experience.

    Log in and explore. To access members-only online content, you must be logged into the website. You’ll need the username and password you used to create your account. If you can’t remember, just hit Forgot Password

    Complete (or update) your member profile. Once you are logged in, make sure you have a complete profile so we can deliver the content and communications that you’ll find most valuable. Include your credentials, your board certifications, and even your AMA and/or ARDMS numbers. Complete or update your profile today.

    Join the discussion. Discover, share, and connect with others through our members-only social network, Connect. Join discussion groups of interest to you and start sharing ideas with your peers.

    Look for AIUM newsletters. Shortly after you join, you will begin to receive Sound Waves and JUMpstart, the AIUM’s key members-only newsletters. These newsletters keep you up-to-date and informed of the latest news, research, and information vital to helping you improve patient care.

    Opt into membership auto-renewal. Our membership auto-renew feature helps ensure uninterrupted access to your member benefits and tenure. To sign up, add a saved credit card on file and authorize the AIUM to charge your card for automatic payment for membership. You can add, update, and save your credit card to your AIUM account here.     Connect with other members. It’s easy to connect with your peers through the AIUM’s many online social spaces. Here are a few highlights:

    • LinkedIn: Follow the group to connect with your peers, participate in timely discussions, and build your ultrasound community network.

    Explore tools and resources. As a member, you have 24/7 unrestricted access to the AIUM’s full collection of content, tools, and other resources to help you do your job better and help your practice succeed. Take some time to explore:

    Explore education. The AIUM’s Online Learning Center is your place for ultrasound education. Webinars, articles, videos, and courses are available to help improve your knowledge and skills. Most of these opportunities include free CME credits for AIUM members.

    Visit your association career center. The Ultrasound Career Center is your one-stop shop for career choice and advancement. Find a job, post a job, get career advice, and improve your resume.

    Medical ultrasound is a dynamic and ever-changing field. Thus, staying informed and up-to-date is of paramount importance. The AIUM provides a number of member benefits focused on keeping you at the forefront.

    • Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM): Each month, the JUM publishes the latest research, pictorial essays, case studies, and literature reviews. In addition, AIUM members have unlimited access to the entire JUM library.  

    • JUMpstart: Every 2 weeks, AIUM members receive an electronic newsletter dedicated to the most recently published articles from the JUM, allowing you to put the latest information into clinical practice sooner.

    • Sound Waves: YOUR content—that’s what the AIUM’s members-only newsletter delivers. By clicking and reading articles each week, the backend AI software will send you more and more articles that match your interest(s)—meaning every AIUM member receives a customized issue.

    • Connect: Your network keeps you informed through insights, resources, and feedback. Connect is your place to build, nurture, and utilize that worldwide network.
