LAUREL, MD - The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), in partnership with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), congratulates the following recipients of the 2021 AIUM/ARRT Professional Education and Growth Scholarships:

  • Jennifer Lynn Gamble, RDMS (NE)

  • Marinela Kola (PA)

  • Lindsay M. Parker, RMSKS (FL)

  • Eric Reish (PA)

  • Jessica Willey (MD)

The grant program, supported by ARRT and the AIUM FUTURE Fund, provides each AIUM member recipient with $500 to be used for continuing education. Recipients use the funds to cover educational expenses like conference registration fees, certification examination fees, or other educational expenses.

“The AIUM is proud to support the continuing education of our sonographer community,” said AIUM CEO Glynis Harvey, CAE. “These recipients have shown a dedication to the sonography profession through their achievements as well as through their focus on lifelong learning--which is vitally important in medical imaging.”

“Sonography is so important to health care, and we salute these scholarship recipients and their dedication to their professional development and the field of sonography,” said ARRT CEO Jerry Reid, PhD. “Through life-long learning these scholarship recipients and ARRT certified and registered sonographers show a strong commitment to high standards of patient care.”

The AIUM/ARRT Professional Education and Growth Scholarships are offered yearly to AIUM members who are sonographers or sonography students. Interested recipients must complete an application that is reviewed and scored by an AIUM committee.
