Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Describe the most common diagnostic treatment applications of the HFUS
Assess practical charts of major applications
Recall the ultrasound patterns of common nail conditions
Correlate the clinical and ultrasonographic findings
Examine ultrasound findings of the most common benign skin tumors.
Discuss the use of high-resolution ultrasound for the proper diagnosis of benign skin tumors
Describe the sonographic presentation of non-melanoma skin cancer
Analyze pre-operative sonographic mapping in non-melanoma skin cancer for identifying the best therapeutic approach
Recognize the distinctive patterns of skin inflammation in ultrasound
Discuss clinical relevance of ultrasound in the management of inflammatory skin diseases
Review the normal anatomy of the skin correlating with the ultrasound appearance
Recognize the main anatomical landmarks of the face
Determine the specific ultrasonographic characteristics of the most commons cosmetic fillers
Understand ultrasound presentations of common filler-related complications
Describe the use of ultrasound-guided hyaluronidase injections for management of these complications
