Course Overview

This part II of the Advanced Ultrasound Experience will cover RASopathy prenatal testing, the RAS/MAPK pathway, inheritance of RASopathies, and key prenatal and postnatal features for improved diagnosis. Participants will be led by a team of RASopathy experts in the field of obstetric ultrasound imaging. At the end, you will have the opportunity to engage in a live Q&A with the faculty and claim your CME credits.




Who Should Attend?

OB/GYN sonographers, OB/GYN physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals involved and/or interested in maternal fetal medicine.



Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify first-trimester sonographic findings: increased NT, cystic hygroma, early anomalies

  • Recognize second/third-trimester findings: CHD, craniofacial features, lymphatic anomalies

  • Apply optimized imaging techniques, including fetal echocardiography

Scripps Clinic, La Jolla, CA Mishella is a Clinical Ultrasound Educator specializing in high-risk obstetrics and fetal echocardiography at Scripps Health, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in San Diego, California. She has more than 16 years of experience in academic and community health practices, serving as a clinical instructor and coordinator, faculty lecturer, and clinical ultrasound educator for Departments of Radiology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, and Maternal-fetal Medicine teaching ultrasound students, sonographers, residents, fellows, and faculty. Mishella is a member of various societies, serving to ensure she gets the highest quality of ultrasound education to teach others. She is an active member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), currently serving as Vice-Chair for the Obstetrics Community of Practice and Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Mishella serves on the Education, Conference, and Sonographer Committees for the Fetal Heart Society. She is also a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS).

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellation must be received by the AIUM no later than July 2, 2025, to receive a refund of the course registration fee minus a $100 administration fee. Written cancellations received after this date will not be refunded. The AIUM must receive all cancellations via e-mail to learn@aium.org. In the unlikely event that the program is canceled by the AIUM, course registration fees will be fully refunded. For any changes to your registration, please contact the AIUM via phone or email.
