Register NOW! The Ultrasound Event | 2026 AIUM Annual Convention, May 27-30 in Philly!
The AIUM announces its highly anticipated two-day Advanced Musculoskeletal Ultrasound course, worth up to 12.0 CME credits. Practice your MSK scanning techniques using the latest ultrasound equipment on live volunteer models and review scanning protocols supervised by expert instructors.

This advanced hybrid course will review the essentials of musculoskeletal ultrasound and intervention, combining lectures organized by extremity joints, live scanning demonstrations, and supervised scanning sessions with live model volunteers. Each segment begins with a live scanning demonstration, which reviews anatomy and scanning protocols, and provides a comprehensive review of each joint. Featured lectures will focus on specific topics including ultrasound-guided procedures, imaging protocol, and a hands-on workshop with questions and answers allowing attendees to ask the faculty critical challenging questions.
Topics have been selected based on the educational needs and underlying identified professional practice gaps in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Recognize musculoskeletal anatomy as demonstrated with ultrasound.
List the essential steps of a comprehensive musculoskeletal ultrasound protocol.
This musculoskeletal ultrasound course will be of value to physicians, sonographers, physician-extenders, and others who have an interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound. The course will benefit those who are building their experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound and establishing an imaging protocol. Additionally, focused in-depth lectures, including discussion of ultrasound-guided procedures, and supervised scanning sessions, are aimed at those advancing their musculoskeletal ultrasound skills.
