International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) Certification Course

Overview

Yvette Groszmann, MD, MPH, and Lauri Hochberg, MD, in collaboration with the International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) group, are offering the IOTA-certification course. Learner’s will gain knowledge in ultrasound evaluation of adnexal masses, the IOTA project, IOTA Terms and Definitions, Simple Rules, and the inner workings of the IOTA ADNEX Model. The goal of the IOTA Course is to make you familiar with the theory and application of IOTA knowledge.  

Based on extensive case examples, attendees will learn how to recognize benign and malignant masses (with the implementation of Simple Rules) and how to guide management by using the ADNEX model. 

 

Learning Objectives  

After participating in this course, participants will have increased knowledge and better competence to:  

  • Evaluate an adnexal mass using IOTA and O-RADS models. 

  • Obtain IOTA certification (upon passing the exam). 

  • Utilize transvaginal ultrasound to discriminate between benign and malignant tumors. 

  • Apply new techniques to evaluate patients with presumed endometriosis and or adenomyosis. 

  • Identify deep endometriosis to aid in surgical planning with live scanning.
