Continuing Medical Education (CME) Information
This course covers the major topics involved in how modern ultrasound imaging and Doppler ultrasound work. It provides an introduction for participants who are new to the field, as well as a review for practicing physicians, sonographers, and other healthcare professionals.

The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The AIUM designates this live activity for 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The AIUM is a Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism (RCEEM) for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The AIUM is the owner and sponsor of this activity. This activity is approved by the AIUM for 4.5 ARRT Category A credits. This CE activity may be available in multiple formats or from different CE sponsors. ARRT does not allow CE activities (e.g., Internet courses, home study programs, directed readings, live lectures) to be repeated for CE credit in the same CE biennium.
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). The ARDMS accepts AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™.
In accordance with the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, all individuals in control of content must disclose any financial relationship(s) or other relationship(s) held within the past 24 months. The AIUM implements a mechanism to identify and mitigate all conflicts of interest prior to delivering the educational activity to learners.
The AIUM provides CME certificates to those who have participated in an AIUM educational activity. The AIUM does not submit credits to regulating bodies or certifying organizations on behalf of the participant. It is the participant’s responsibility to submit proof of credits on his or her own behalf.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Information
The AIUM is partnering with the IOTA (International Ovarian Tumor Analysis) group to offer an official IOTA certification course. This is an advanced course centered on gynecologic ultrasound imaging and the evaluation of adnexal masses. Included are lectures covering IOTA terminology and definitions, descriptors, and the application of IOTA models in order to predict risk of malignancy. At the conclusion, there will be a written examination covering material learned, and an opportunity to become a certified member of the IOTA group.
Physicians, sonographers, students, and other healthcare providers who possess an interest in acquiring a fresh skill set and obtaining an internationally recognized certification in advanced gynecologic imaging.
