The AIUM's continuing medical education (CME) activities provide the opportunity to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ or ARRT Category A Credits. Sonographers and other health care providers participating in AIUM educational activities may earn credits toward maintaining their professional certification from the following organizations:

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
The ARDMS accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ provided by the AIUM.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
The AIUM is a Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism (RCEEM) for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

CME credits can be earned from multiple sources at the AIUM:
