Tricks and Physics: How to Improve Your Imaging of the Fetal Heart

This session will address the current role of ultrasound in detailed fetal heart assessment. On completion of this session, participants should be able to: (1) differentiate between operator, patient, and platform issues with image optimization; (2) describe differences in necessary settings for grayscale and Doppler (including color) used to assess the heart versus those used in general obstetric scanning; and (3) optimize 3- and 4-dimensional settings for the fetal heart.
