Design Updates for Nontraditional Applications of Point-of-Care Ultrasound

After this session, participants should be able to discuss recent advances in the use of nontraditional clinical applications of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Topics will include patient-performed POCUS, algorithm, work flow, and automation solutions, high-intensity focused ultrasound, and ethical challenges of POCUS. The course will focus on the impact of these nontraditional applications of ultrasound on teaching, research, and clinical practice and help identify potential areas for collaboration and innovation.
