CME Activities
  | | | |
The AIUM offers opportunities for sonographers and physicians to earn continuing medical education credits (CME) through Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM) CME tests, CME video programs, annual conventions, and other CME courses offered throughout the year.

Participants of AIUM's CME activities are eligible to earn AMA/PRA category 1 CME credits (also accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography [ARDMS]) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) category A credits.

Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM) CME Self-Study Tests
The Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM) provides 2 or 3 CME self-study tests in every issue. AIUM members may submit their tests online for free; nonmembers are charged a fee of $20.00 for sonographers, or $40.00 for physicians. CME tests are valid for 3 years after the publication date, thus offering members more choices and access to up to 84 CME credits at anytime. CME certificates are e-mailed for all passing tests without delay.
Video Programs
A variety of CME video programs on specialty topics in ultrasound are available. Up to 5 viewers can earn CME credits with the purchase of a video program and completion of the accompanying evaluation and/or CME test. Additional sets of 5 evaluations and/or CME tests are available for $50!
This option is great for ultrasound departments and schools that have many ultrasound professionals who need CME credit.
Annual Conventions and Postgraduate Courses
Attend a multitude of lectures and hands-on seminars by leading experts on the latest critical issues and ultrasound techniques and view exhibits by medical suppliers and manufacturers.
