What are your Goals for the AIUM?
It is critical for the AIUM to expand its leadership role in the development of evidence based practice parameters and training guidelines in order to uphold the safe and effective use of ultrasound in all disciplines and within all practice situations. With that in mind, we must support a forum of diversity in which practitioners of differing specialties and backgrounds work together and share experience and expertise in caring for our patients. The AIUM must continue its critical role in providing educational opportunities at all levels of training and focused opportunities for skill advancement. The use of evidence based protocols and self-reflection through the process of accreditation is paramount in promoting optimal patient care and safety.
