Fellows
AIUM fellow membership is a way to recognize individuals who have contributed in a most distinguished fashion to the field of ultrasound. Individuals are nominated by existing fellow members and must be a senior member for at least two years before they are eligible for nomination. Nominees are asked to complete evaluation forms detailing their contributions and background and are reviewed by the Fellow Subcommittee, which forwards their recommendations on to the Board of Governors for approval. As stated in the AIUM Constitution and Bylaws, the number of fellows shall not exceed one-twentieth of the total number of the voting membership. Fellow members pay the same amount of dues as general members and receive the same benefits.
